Week after week, this show jerks around millions of people across the country, perhaps even you. It's not enough that they do this. They have to make me into a giant, moping pussy that gets caught by trying to nail a weak-sauce bounty hunter who should've done us all a favor and died on the plane. Doesn't this sound like a plotline for Jack? FTW, this is ca-razy!

Seriously, why does Ben keep following my ass? Do I ever ask? No, not really. Why don't I kill him when I'm fully capable of doing so and it's painfully obvious that all he does is fuck with me? Because I'm stupid wimp, that's why! I survived the Iraq war but can't kill a tiny, bug-eyed white man.

Well, this week I finally did it! I became a man and killed my enemy... by shooting him as a little boy! Go, me! I shot Harry Potter for bringing me a sandwich. What's more, I shot him in the chest and not in the head. This way, it's possible he's not dead and I may have to chance to cry and regret what I have done for it to have been in vain anyway. Too bad I missed the part where Daniel pretty much said whatever we do in the past don't mean shit. Knowing this fucking show, shooting him probably made him into the monster he is today! It's all my fault!

At least Sun was man enough to smack him in the head with an oar the first chance she got."

Yes, I'm sorry to say. A bunch of them went back to the 70's for whatever fool reason. At least the characters that get introduced in the 70's are actually relevant to the plot, unlike the Nicki and Paolo replacements we got that arrived on the island in the regular timeline.

Jack's inactivity is intriguing me. It's now clear that the 4 of them going back to the 70s really did fuck with things. Is Sun the way the Universe will 'course correct', since the barracks had DHARMA stuff and didn't show the damage that Keamy did to it.

The O-6 leave the island, forsaking John and Sawyer's new group (Jin, Juliet, Miles, and Daniel). The O6 realize that life outside isn't worth it and delude themselves into thinking they belong off the island, while Locke warps back to the real world to convince them they're not where they belong. In doing so, Locke arises the suspicions of Penny's father, Charles Widmore. Widmore used to have Ben's job, until Ben had him removed for being a douchebag. Ben murders Locke after Locke fails to unite the Oceanic 6. Ben doesn't realize this, but Locke will ressurect on the island, something that evenutally united the Oceanic 6 (except Sayid who's abducted by a bounty hunter and taken on the same plane back to the island). With everyone minus Aaron and plus Ben reunited, the plane crashes onto the Island as it should...

EXCEPT Sayid, Kate, Jack, and Hurley are thrown into the 1970s. Sun, Ben, and Locke remain in the present. Sun is searching for Jin and finds out he is also in the 70s. Locke is glad to be alive and has taken over Ben's role (who took it from Widmore). Ben has sought forgiveness for letting Alex die and now seems to be Locke's disciple. MEANWHILE the bounty hunter escorting Sayid has taken over the other new-castaways and taken control of a large metal box with a new arsenal of modern weapons. She seems to be an agent for Widmore for some unknown purpose.

Back in the disco era, Sawyer is now the man Jack could never be. Jack is now displaced and just fucked. Hurley is confused, Kate is recovering and also displaced. Sayid is mistaken for an other and accidentally creates Ben, shooting the child when Ben thinks he's an other that will save him from his abusive father.

What remains? What relation Miles has to the island, what will Daniel do now, and the biggest question of this season; why did Jack, Kate, Sayid, and Hurley are in the 70s.

End summary of S5 thusfar.

Tonight's episode just cemented Ben as best reason to watch Lost. Holy shit, when he blasted Cesar, I jumped out screaming my bromance for him. Then the acting with Alex's ghost, genius. Ben becoming Locke's disciple under threat from Alex/Smoke Monster/Ghost was creepy. The egyptian connection is increasing with the statue and then the bounty hunter asking Frank; "What is under the Shadow of the Statue?".

I DON'T WANT THIS SEASON TO END :(

I now only watch 3 network shows. House, Lost, and Breaking Bad. I will resume Burn Notice, Sons of Anarchy, and Psych when they come back. I haven't fully forgiven FX for canning The Riches.

It was the only primetime show I had been watching, I rather liked the "tough cop, bad cop" vibe of the show.

Then the last episode had to have one of the most messed up revelations to explain what had been happening throughout the show.

It was as if the people making the show gave up on a good ending and penned some cheap "Oh by the way, everything that has happened for two seasons has been a dream inside someone's head" bullshit. In other words, everything that happened in the show became meaningless.

I'm getting tired of some of these characters (like those Dharma people that all end up deadsies soon) getting so much screen time. Not to mention it's a ripoff either way you slice it to have the viewer invest in Michael, Walt, (especially Michael and Walt) Charlie, Eko, Rose, Bernard, Claire, etc. and they just get tossed aside/killed/whatever. It's like they just threw a jumpsuit on Jin this season and then told him to go off and play with himself. Sayid was completely out of character in my opinion. I think there's just too many damn characters, too many pasts floating around that we don't need to know so much about, and too much focus on things that in the end don't matter. Why did they need to make a mystery out of why Kate was on the island and what happened to Aaron? They didn't. "And here's little Ethan." Who gives a fuck about Ethan anymore and why did we need to learn anything about his folks? The whole Ben thing is getting old, but it's sure as hell not as tiring as knowing all of that backstory on Sayid off of the island that really doesn't matter anyway. There's just a lot of purposeless information. I want to see how it all turns out but it's frustrating wading through the garbage.

Last week's episode was the best yet. Miles is miles (heh) more interesting that Jack and Kate. "The Story of the Oceanic Six" can go fuck itself.

It did, I just didn't mention it cause everyone else here picked Lost (which I find yawn worthy) over it. So I didn't think anyone but me would care so I just kept my yap shut about it.

No time travel, and it didn't suck. The first hour of the last episode was kinda meh. But the 2nd hour was much better. The two lessons you walk away from BSG with are "God exists" and "The Japanese are going to get us all killed." Or at least that's what I got from the ending.

I watched the first season and most of the second and some of the third, maybe all of the second I don't remember at this moment. The First season was fine because it set up all these questions, like a zillion questions. That's what a first season does for shows like this.
Second season comes around and we got a few questions answered, except that it opened a billion more questions like 'who's Desmond' and 'what's this countdown timer for'! They find out what's in the hatch...and then you're asking what that's about. That's what happens every time: You get one question answered and that answer opens a bunch of new questions up that get explored before answering anymore of the old ones. That was the first thing.

The last straw was when they just started killing people they'd just introduced. That blonde girl with Hugo? Shot. Right after we found out she knew Hugo in the mental ward. Eko? After staring down the smoke monster once, it comes back and kills him. I liked Eko! He had the jesus stick! The leader of the second group of survivors? After such good story development? Just gets shot up by Michael after we find out she knew and worked with Jack's dad. Admittedly the last chick there was an actor deal there, but still!

And now there's time travel, leaving the island and coming back, flash-forwards into the future rather than just flashbacks, and just all this stuff that I just am not going to deal with. Seriously. I don't like enough of the characters left to give that show another try, not this late in the game.

Yeah, that irked me, too. It was like a bait and switch. Why did the audience bother learning about any of those people if the tail was apparently populated by a swarm of red shirts. That's like getting an entire episode dedicated to Artz. It doesn't make sense. But, hell, I just miss Michael and Walt being around with Vincent. And Claire x Charlie. They gave the show a sense of heart that the other characters can't provide. (Not even Rose and Bernard.)

Granted, I don't hate Juliet or Daniel, heck, I even like Miles and Lapidus. But if they died... nothing would be missing to be honest. Locke, Ben, Jin, Sun... whatever. (Wouldn't be the first time for Locke. He and Ben are seriously wearing out their welcome.) I think Kate or Jack need to bite it. Stars or not, they are so purposeless it isn't funny. At least the death of one would motivate the other. All they do is angst and make stupid choices. ABC needs to save that shit for Grey's Anatomy. Sawyer and Hurley are the only left two whose deaths would change the show imo.

Claire isn't dead, her actress will be back next season. Miles remains my favorite addition, but the show has that 'anyone can die' vibe, and I think the pain of character deaths gets what they want. It's not like they don't ever come back, especially when Anubis lived on the island.

And really there's only two TV shows I regularly tune into anymore: Supernatural and Reaper. Though some things on Reaper are annoying me. ANd there is something about Supernatural....How did someone put it.

At the end of the....Second season I think? Yeah. When they killed Azazel? That Yellow Eyed Demon? The series could have ended there and I would've been fine. Maybe a little irked at such a short run. I love what they're doing now, but I think the second season finale could've ended the series fine right there.

Sometimes I'll watch Castle, but that's more cause I like Nathan Filion more than the show is anything decent. For christs sake it's like it's supposed to be a modern 'hip' version of "Murder She Wrote." Which it's at least a MODERN version, don't think it's all that good really.

I read Tom's spoiler so it was my own fault for spoiling myself. I might have been drawn in a little more to the episode if I hadn't done that. The more shocking part, I think, was more that Widmore was his father and less that his own mother killed him and knew about it. I felt sad for Dan, which I didn't expect, because he looked so hurt by what his mother did. "You knew... and you sent me back anyway" type of thing. Being killed by his mom seems like LOST trying to surprise you again, but Widmore being daddy was a little more "woah". Anyway, this week's episode was also quite good. As it stands, I think most of Season 2 shouldn't have happened. Season 2 and 3 should've been combined with some of 4 and this season should've been 4 combined with some of the season 4 eps. Again, Dan, like Miles, is much more interesting that some of the regulars (Jack, Kate, etc).

The new staff is wonderful, and rewatching the old episodes is connecting more and more dots. The one thing I HOPE is addressed has to do when the Swan blew up. Desmond became naked and went time tripping. Locke lost his voice and had to commune with Boone. Eko woke up in a Polar Bear cave. Charlie walked back to camp a little odd and seemingly changed. What happened to Charlie?

When Locke was in HS, Alpert sought him out to go to 'science camp' at an Other front (Mittelos, which is the company that recruited Juliet to be an Other). After refusing, Locke's HS counsellor tells him he is a man of science and it's his destiny to be the scientist, not the hero. Locke responds 'DONT TELL ME WHAT I CAN'T DO' like always. Daniel wants to be a musician, and yet his Mother tells him the same thing, and Danny accepts it.

Peculiar.

Perhaps it was a series of c4 that just blew up the anomaly, or perhaps it just buried it under the rubble. Either way, the incident in the finale should be sweet, esp. with Jack seeming to become a warrior again instead of a whiney pillpopper and overall fuckslave to Kate. BAWWW, she loves Sawyer! Well he traded up to Juliet, now take charge and give Locke something to rival in the sixth season.

I'm foreseeing the others fighting Widmore in the sixth season with Jack siding with Widmore and Locke leading his other army.
