Well IDE can't reach 30. If he did the universe would implode on it's self and existance as we know it would be wiped out.

Wait...there was a Speed 3?

Heh.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speed_3

No, really, I think they wanted to do another one.  IMO, they killed the franchise with the first sequel.  You can't just stick Annie with another love interest.  Now she's a disaster whore.  FAIL.

It was suppose to be a different guy?

*Has only seen parts of Speed 2 on Cable.*

I haven't seen it either.  I immediately dissed it.  But he's not supposed to be Jack, he's some bitch named Alex Shaw.  That completely ruins the fucking ending to the first one.  I'm burning it out of existence along with the Matrix sequels and the Mortal Kombat sequel.  Fucking kill our Johnny, will you, fuckers?

Oh and Batman and Robin.

But I thought he just the same guy different actor. Fuck he acted like him and looked like him..so I figured it was him.

Nope.  They should've just passed him off as Jack.  It reminds me of Charmed where they killed off Shannen Doherty for being a bitch and then brought in Rose Mc-Creepy-Gowan's pale ass as some mysterious fourth sister despite all of the "powet of three" bullshit that went on earlier in the series.  Shannen Doherty is not unique-looking or one of those talents like Mandy Pantinkin or Angelica Huston or William Peterson where they have this noninterchangeable gravitas that makes putting in a doppleganger utterly stupid.  They could've easily have recasted the damn role.  Keanu Reeves ain't all that unique either.  As long as he says "Whoa" like Keanu, he's nailed the character.

It's scary that the first Mortal Kombat was bad, but remains so fucking good. If it's on TV I have to sit and watch it. It's just pretty and is rather decent even though the special effects are horrid. Then look at Mortal Kombat 2 and it's like a made for TV sequel with a bigger budget. The sequel is just horrid.

I never was a fan of the Matrix. I never really got it. "OH! I AM A KICKASS ACTION FILM WITH DEEP PHILOSOPHICAL MEANINGS!" So what, Magneto would pwn the machines. How is Magneto rising to lead humanity (Or even John Connors) any different than Neo? Plus The HUMANS ARE BATTERIES!!!1 was so fucking dumb it made no sense. The amount of energy needed to produce and maintain the matrix while keeping entire populations alive seems incredibly inefficient. Is the Matrix originally from Detroit?!

:tom:

I never liked Matrix for any "deep philosophical" thought.  It's just a fun movie to sit with popcorn and watch on a late night.

Every movie needs more kung fu.  They should go back and edit a kung-fu fight into every movie that doesn't already have one.

I'm getting tested in January.  Not that I have any reason to believe I'm in trouble I just do it every year.

All of you should get tested too, promiscuous toilet seats and what not.

I've never seen it but a kung-fu fight would catch my interest.

Well everyone was going on about how great it was, and being a movie buff that I am I decided to watch it. They were very wrong.

Did you see The Notebook, too?

No...no I did not. Only people that told me that was good where people that have terrible taste in movies.

Ha ha, ditto.  I know exactly what that movie needs, too: Muppets.  Think about it.

Post by: Rama on Dec 26, 2008, 01:26:34 AM
Well...I have no idea what it's about, but Muppets can make anything better.

All I know is that it's about a couple of old people who were in love as young people in the rain and that a notebook may possibly be involved.  Now imagine Super Grover's with them!

Know what I'd like to see? Muppet Schindler's List.

Gonzo would be the main character cause, you know
Title: Re: IDE Birthday Thread!

Gonzo strikes me as a nazi.
Title: Re: IDE Birthday Thread!

I don't know...his chicken loving life style might have offended Nazis.
Title: Re: IDE Birthday Thread!

The chickens would've been the nazi soldiers in the Muppets take Auschwitz.

Well all I know is Rowlf the Dog and Fozzie Bear would be two of the firsts into the Gas Chamber.

I think IDE's on to something here.  Gonzo is a total nazi.  He doesn't know quite what he is so he just hates everyone.  And those chicken followers, it would be little work to get them to goosestep.  It fits.
