Title: Chinese cars
Post by: IDE on Oct 22, 2008, 10:31:50 PM
They're supposedly coming here in the next couple of years.

Well they can get fucked.  And anyone who buys one? Guess what?  They can get fucked too.

*key scratch*

I just think it's weird that they would even think about selling them here.  I know we buy raw resources from our enemies but it would seem like the sales kiss of death to stamp Made by The Taliban on something that a US citizen is supposed to use in public every day especially something like an automobile which whether we like it or not sends a message about the owner to everyone who sees him in it.

lol run on sentence.

Who knows. 60% of American cars are made in Mexico, while the majority of a Japanese car is made in US assembly plants. These Chinese cars may be built here on domestic soil which means they'd have to exceed rigorous standards.

And uh.... I must have missed the memo where China was associated with the Taliban.

Yes, yes I literally meant that china is part of the tali...

If you can't see how I stated our enemies and then segued into using The Taliban as an example you're in pretty deep shit in the reading comprehension department.

And it doesn't matter where it's made it's the fact that it's a commie pinko mobile.  If government agencies are going to make "Don't buy drugs! You're supporting terrorism!" ads then they can't expect us to buy these cars that support communism and oppression.

Wasn't this already a foregone conclusion?

I don't have a problem with letting Chinese cars over here, so long as they are of decent quality and we place the same restrictive tariffs on their imports as they do on ours.
