Guilty on all accounts.  I just watched it happen on CNN about 10 minutes ago.


I also like how in the article it points out that none of the jurors were of African-American descent.  Race card?

Semi on-topic, I saw a Secrets of the Dead episode last week on PBS about Hawley Crippen, who in the early 1900's had been accused of murdering his wife in Britain and tried to flee with his mistress to America.  They compared it to OJ in the white bronco, because as their ship traveled across the Atlantic, the media (unknowingly to him) was following his escape every step of the way right down to what book he was reading.

So he was stealing stuff that only got into the hands of the people he was stealing it from because to avoid giving money to the Goldmans, he gave it to a friend who in turn sold it to the people OJ then had to go and steal it from?  Wow, bitter justice.

Didn't didn't do the actual deed, no. He was found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder. Since the murders were carried out and he was part of the conspiracy they also charged him with the murders themselves. He got the death penalty, but then California did away with the death penalty his sentance was autoamticly reduced to Life in Prison. However California has restablished the death penalty, but it can't be retroconned so Manson still has life.

Although I heard rumors that Manson was actually there during the murders they were never able to tie him to it directly.
