Title: PUKE.
Post by: B E C K on Oct 22, 2004, 03:00:56 AM
http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/10/20/...aura/index.html (http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/10/20/theresa.apologizes.laura/index.html)

Quote
"I think it's very nice that she apologized, but in some ways the apology almost made the comment worse because she seems to have forgotten that being a mother is a real job," Hughes told CNN. "I think it's just unfortunate to try to disparage women who have made the choice of making their families a priority."
I think it's unfortunate that some idiot sow has to disparage women who've actually made themselves a priority along with their children by remaining in their line of work despite familial changes or women who can't afford to stay home and who actually go out and earn the bread for the house.  I'm sure Heinz Kerry's family is as much of priority to her as Bush Twat's.  I'm sure women supporting family members other than scum-sucking booger-flicking brats have made their family a priority, whether they work or not.  And making your family a priority shouldn't be a "choice".

If I had a quarter for every time I've heard women at my various offices say, "Oh, I can't wait to get pregnant so I WON'T HAVE TO WORK" or "I want another baby so I can STAY HOME AND NOT WORK".... I have news for Karen - it's broodcows like that who disparage women, not smart, progressive women like Teresa who somehow managed to head numerous philanthropic causes plus a corporation plus speak 5 languages PLUS rear her own kids and manage to be a thoroughly likable stepmom as well.  Her kids never got busted twice for underage drinking in public restaurants - how fucking stupid is that??! Sense of entitlement much, Tequila Twins? If Laura was such an expert at The Most Important Job In The World (reg.U.S. pat.pending), her brats would have a little more respect for their father.  And if they don't respect him, why the hell should I with a vote?

I want to slap those twins around.  You think doing the Moo thing full time, Laura would've penciled that in somewhere.

At least all the Kerry kids aren't running around rampant.

A librarian isn't much of a job, though.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but they organize books.

Plus, she hasn't done anything since Bush has been in office.

Which in this case probably means sorting out which books get burned

The first three posts in this thread are proof that women can be very smart, as long as they never talk about movies.

Hmmm....well, in 1980 after Somewhere in Time came out, we were at a Houston convention called Supercon and a booth had this poster (http://www.somewhereintime.tv/collectibles_poster.htm).  We were looking at some stuff when we noticed a crowd starting to form around us because she with her waist-long chestnut hair & very similar features, had been mistaken for Jane Seymour.

Well. In the particular situation of having sex with me, yes. Horrified screaming would be innaprapriate.

Yes, this is the loving sister who would chase me around the house with knives when we were younger.  4 years, 28.

I thought you were younger for some reason.

You wouldn't think that if you saw the two of us side by side... HA.  Hag.  :D

Oh and rocks.  I also chased her around with rocks.  I used to have a couple of crude collections.

Ha ha ha.
Are you shorter?
Title: PUKE.
Post by: Bernie AKA on Nov 01, 2004, 09:53:51 AM
Try 10 years difference.  I have vivid memories of my sister Colleen locking me in a huge suitcase & carrying me around the house when I was 4.    But she was cool other times, like when my mom got mad when I didn't pick up my toys and went on a rampage, breaking them & throwing every last one in the garbage - Colleen salvaged what she could & washed then off for me.  And she'd sneak me into her room to watch scary movies after our mom had forbidden it.  :D

I was at the time but now I'm about an 1" to 1.5" taller than she is.  I meant more in that Merla carries herself like an older person more so than I do.

And I'll second the Awwwww....
