Granted I didn't watch a stitch of it, but when I heard who won, it was still pretty funny. Anyone see it? Anything of interest? Did the commercials suck ass per usual?
Reading this comment from CNN (http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/02/04/superbowl.memories/) was like seeing the Doug of the future:
David Marks, of Duquesne, Pennsylvania, said it was "one of the best football games I'd ever seen," but said watching the game with his family had some drawbacks.
"I was not able to enjoy the commercials as much because my mom wouldn't stop yakking away," he said. "She's 80 years old and I didn't want to say anything at first -- you don't know how much longer you have your mom at that age. But finally after a quarter and a half, I had to ask her to pipe down."
-
Or I should say "anyone besides tom see it". He had to have seen it.

Yeah. I could drone on about how the offensive line just buckled to the Giant's D-Line, how there was no attempt to let Brady score after the last NYG TD (They even showed the officials with the Giants stuff and the trophy out before Brady took the field, and no penalties were called on that drive), but New England lost. I don't expect to see Asante Samuel (who was the highest paid team member, yet sucked hard this year), or Matt Light and Dan Koppens (Who just have been sucking at protecting Brady in the pocket) next year. Can they pull off another undefeated season? Brady with Moss and Welker with Marooney running? Hells yeah.
Go Pats, you'll get em next year.

I felt like some of the commercials were lame and just not creative. I liked the baby E*Trade one though. That AdGenie or whatever with the Chinese pandas made me uncomfortable. :-(

So glad the giants shut down those pat bastards...
Because now the dolphin's record remains unbeaten!
A testament to the days of yore when the city of miami didn't suck balls.

That pisses me off more, I could give a rats ass about NY winning.
Eli did NOT deserve the MVP, a member of the NYG's Defense did. They won the game by plowing Brady.
-
So glad I didn't have to kill myself. I was loving watching Brady just get hit over and over again. It was a thing of beauty.
And I would have started a thread gloating over the Pats loss, but I wanted it to really sink in first.
-
It didn't bother me as much as some people. I know why they lost, and it wasn't anything the Giants offense did. Mainly, it was the NE Offensive line just staring at the NYG D-Line rushing in while Brady was buried. Why did they do that? I don't know. What I do know is they won't have a job next season.

I still think that american football is not a real sport. so fuck this!

soccer is boring as shit unless the players fight each other.

Amen to that.

My favorite Bingo was kind of a wimp, but I'm a pushover when it comes to pit bulls and AmStafs.

As far as I'm concerned, football season ended on January 7th. All I watched of the Super Bowl was the half-time show and the last five minutes.
But, in that five minutes, I was glad to see that New York helped prove that defensive pressure is the best means of disrupting both rush and pass attacks. I'm sick of three-man rushes and the prevent defense.
