From what I could tell, he had pneumonia and insomnia and was overmedicated. If he had handlers he'd be alive now.
Oh, and anyone who mistakes the Westboro thugs as being representative of the religious right is a unqualified imbecile. They're as much about Christianity as the Klan is about bedsheets...just because they wrap themselves with them doesn't mean a thing.

Nooo I don't think that's it. I saw that he had an interview in which he said that he spent many nights without sleeping because he had to work on the movie, but I don't think that's what made it. Maybe it just gave him a little insomnia.

Yeah I agree with Faye. Ledger was a good face man but he was hardly a master character actor who was driven to kill himself by the miasma of sheer insanity he created within while preparing for/playing this role.

Yeah but it's good PR spin on a bad situation. It's to lead us to believe that The Joker is so disturbing that not even the guy playing him could sleep....and so of course you want to see this character that basicly killed the actor and so more people will go see the movie and the box office will be better. It's how Hollywood works.
