Trailers are linked when available....
Cloverfield, Jan 18 (http://www.narniaweb.com/news.asp?id=1355&dl=14478175) - I'm curious to see what this is all about. Apparently it's about some kind of giant monster, but if it's Voltron or Chultu remains to be seen.
Oh, yea, and after watching the trailer J.J. Abrams can go fuck himself. The Statue of Liberty head that lands on the street is too small. It's the size of a large U-Haul truck. The REAL statue head is big enough to house an observation deck in the crown. See: Ghostbusters 2.
Horton Hears a Who, March 14 (http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/hortonhearsawho/) - I hope this is more like Grinch than Cat in the Hat.
Prince Caspian, May 16 (http://www.narniaweb.com/news.asp?id=1355&dl=14478175) - It's about fucking time.
Iron Man, May 2 (http://www.firstshowing.net/2007/09/10/iron-man-cometh-new-full-trailer/) - I AM IRON MAN *guitar solo*
Speed Racer, May 9 (http://speedracerthemovie.warnerbros.com/cmp/main.html) - This better not suck! :fingershake: Edit: after watching the trailer, this movie's gonna suck. All the car races are done in cartoonish-looking CG, rather than realistic CG. It looks like the fucking IGPX.
Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skullfuck, May 22 - What's with all these movies coming out in May... oh right, the month's when blockbusters ALWAYS come out. Well, I'm glad to see that Harrison Ford's going to replay his role as Indy, if it was anyone else I'd firebomb Hollywood.
Get Smart, June 20 (http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/getsmart/trailer1/) - Good possibility
Hellboy 2, July 11 (http://www.hellboy2trailer.com/hellboy2.html) - It's fucking Guillermo del Toro for Christ's sakes. The character designs alone kick serious ass. There's another del Toro movie coming out this year but I forgot what the hellboy it's called.
The Dark Knight, July 18 (http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/batman-trailer/the-new-dark-knight-trailer-334545.php) - This may be one of the few films I'll actually see at a regular $10 theater rather than the dollar one. Batman fights a crazed Joker.
Half-Blood Prince, Nov 21 - del Toro turned down directing this one. That's a bad sign, as he would have made this movie kick serious ass.
Angels & Demons, Dec 19 - I liked DaVinci Code, so I hope I'll enjoy this one as well.
Star Trek, Dec 25 - Since it's not ANOTHER Next Generation-era movie, I'll give this a chance.
Edit: I would be able to list trailers if the trailers would stop freezing my browser which has crashed twice already.

My desire to see awesome movies has lessened slightly as my desire to be in awesome movies has increased.
-
HP is the only one I'm going to be lining up at the theater for. Unless Merla really wants to see Caspian. Hellboy, Get Smart, perhaps Netflixed. Nothing else there interests me. I haven't seen the first Batman yet, so I really should watch that one before jumping into the second one, but I haven't felt like it.
-
Didn't the narnia books get shittier and more allegorical (or maybe just shittier I can't remember) after Wardrobe?
-
Yep.
And I'm only paying full price to see The Dark Knight. The Joker is my all time fav. villian. I don't even really like Batman all the much, but I'll watch it if it has the Joker in it.
I may see Indy too just cause I'm hoping for the best, but expecting a train wreck.
and Cloverfield is going to bomb if they don't actually tell people what the movie is about. And I'm calling this now....I bet you go the whole movie without seeing the monster and everyone is going to be pissed off. And JJ is just going to sit back and laugh and laugh.
-
I think you're right. Unless it turns out to be some cinematic work of genius (which I doubt), only the dorks will be biting that line.
-
I was down for Dark Knight when I saw the playing card at the end of Begins. I was old enough to see Last Crusade when it came out, so you damn well know I'm gonna be there for Crystal Skull despite the dumb name.
The rest I can take or leave. Iron Man looks good, but the friggin' Iron Monger? And I thought the DC heroes had lameass villains....

He said you will see the monster in this month's Maxim. It's just not being shown in previews.
-
I'm betting its the standard "don't show the monster for the first 1/2 of the movie" formula.

You know..you don't have to come out with statements like that unless people think you'd actually pull that shit on them. People must think he would.

Maxim asked him.
I enjoyed the Blair Witch, even though we never saw her. She's a ghost, they never show on film. Why would we have seen her?
-
And they asked because they thought they might go through the whole movie and not see the monster. They thought he might actually make a huge hollywood movie about a monster ripping apart New York and not once show it on film. I mean did Maxim ask George Lucas if there were going to be Lightsabers in the prequels?

If he went far back enough there wouldn't. Or we'd be cursed with backpack lightsabers. They are the special cousins of the lasersword.
