I HATE this time of year....
Temp. 96 degrees F
Humidity 71%
Heat Index 105 degrees F
And my car is almost out of freon, so I'm only using A/C when I'm not driving down tree-lined streets.
At least, no reddened he-boobies flopping about like walrus jowls yet. :x
-
Well, I.... I don't want to... go outside.
I can't give you numbers but since we're only about three hours apart it's probably not that much different.
-
i went today on an interview to center city(yes people, work interview. i HATE the idea but my fucking university is making me do it) and i had to wear a blouse and it was sooo fucking hot outside, like 31 celsius(too lazy to convert)
-
What kind of work?
-
Seducing secretary.
It's about 80 outside.
Don't feel bad, Bernie, my car doesn't have A/C and the heater barely works.
-
What kind of work?
today's interview was to be a criminal justice intern, then i have naother one with fucking GlaxoSmithKline . goddamnit.
-
That doesn't sound bad. Why do you have to get work?
-
Nobody will support her anymore, probably.
-
cause im in the co op program, and i have to work somewhere for 6 months :(
-
It's just six months tho'.
-
i knoow but its kinda stressing all this shit aobut having to find a job, plus theres a dead line and if i dont find a job i dont get credit for it. it also cant be any kind of job, it has to be a professional one, like if you were graduate. PLUS the fact that philly is filled with drexel, temple and u penn recently graduated students.
-
It was fucking 104 degrees today. Good fucking lord.
-
oh yeah? well it was fucking 55 and rainy here. so much for summer.
-
86 degrees here, 100% humidity. Fucking Maryland.
-
The AC is broken again. Help!! Even my kitties are overheating!
-
I'm sure if Rama were still around, he'd have something wrong to say about that...
-
Like "dumbass" but misspelled?
-
Exactally!
-
Awesomp;e! ::makes excuse about having big fingers::
-
Nuri, that's exactly the reason why I've held out against having central A/C installed. If one of the window units goes out, relief is just a 1-mile drive to Sears away and $300 as opposed to my sister's nightmare of no A/C for NINE days last year. They ended up at my house and shelled out $800. But that cold front is coming - supposed to only be 90 this evening here, so you'll probably get it around 4-5.
-
No central A/C in my house, it's too big, too old and would be too expensive.
Plus it's been raining 70% of the summer, so it hasn't been that hot. And my house kind of has a natural A/C in it for some reason, it's great in the summer but it sucks in winter.

hell yeah tha front cold is coming, i froze my ass off today
-
oh fuck, don't you say that. it just started getting warm again...er maybe the cold front's coming from me...
in that case - that sucks
-
It's actually great in the evening though. But midday.... ugh...
-
this is it. the cold age has just started. my roommie just came back from class and he said its freaking cold outside. if he, who was born here in philly, think its cold outside, that means im gonna froze to death
-
It's raning here... same as yesterday... and the day before... and the day before... and the day before... and the day before... and the day before... and the day before... and the day before... and the day before... and the day before... and the day before...
*gets arrested by the grammar police for ellipses abuse*
-
I want some rain! Slap some of that my way.
-
I'm sure if Rama were still around, he'd have something wrong to say about that...
 Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!
Yesss.....
-
noooooo....
-
I never bought that "I need a break from this place" excuse he gave when he disappeared.
-
this place = me
-
Give us details!
Young minds want to know.
-
He's what you generally need a break from.
-
The short of it is we "broke up", or whatever you want to call it, and went our separate ways. I don't know if he said he needed a break with every intention of coming back or if he just didn't want to say he didn't want to be here anymore. I still had contact information like AIM names and e-mails but I never bothered and he never e-mailed me either, so I guess not wanting to contact each other was mutual on both ends.
-
He's what you generally need a break from.
 Ouch!
-
Ah.
Rama was a bitch anyway.
You're the best, Nur!
-
Damn, we got a fucking cold front last night. It was 70 during the day, and it was supposedly down to 40 last night.
-
Awwww, your adoration is all that matters!
I want Chelsey's temperature.... and tom's rain. Someone needs to make this happen.
-
Me too.
It's gonna be 95 today.
Frickin' dessert.
-
Fuck the sun!
-
I went through Basic Training at Ft. Benning, which is in the state tha tI live in, GA.
People from Arizona were fainting out on the track long before any of the Georgia boys, abecause they'd never felt such humidity before. I stopped going to the track close to me in like, May.
-
Apparently studies have shown that people who live in high humidity areas don't get wrinkles as fast IF they don't counteract it with stuff like smoking & laying out all summer. I'll get back to y'all in a few decades on that. :P

lima is always 99% or 98% humid like every day
-
that would be hell
-
not really if u get used to it
-
what? i thought you lived in philly
-
She does, but she's from Peru.
It's been nice and cool here the last couple days, which is really unusual. Normally around now, it's really hot and sticky. We finally bought a second window air conditioner this year because the other one wasn't doing to job, and we didn't even have to set it up until about a week ago.
-
that would be hell
Yeah, that's gotta be like living in a giant armpit.
-
Or that space between the crotch and thigh.
-
*shudders* i'm never going to look at summer weather the same way again.
-
what? i thought you lived in philly
yeah, what Bitch said is true. I go to drexel university in philly. they have just increased the tuition by 4.5% YAY!
btw, it has been sooo humid here these last weeks. almost as much as lima.
im sorry im still drunk....
-
It was like... 69 degree last weekend in Chicago for a while. I thought that was keen. I don't generally talk Fahrenheit.
-
hah, but for rare occasions such as that, you'll make an exception.
-
111 here in Pheonix...
107 in the SHADE!
-
boo! sexier temperatures!
-
Hee, hee....it's 84 here, at 1:30 in the afternoon in August! Best birthday present so far! :D
