Title: Rama's spinning in his grave.

Or he would if he was dead.

Soap star gets keys to "Knight Rider" TV movie

Fri Nov 02, 8:51 AM ET

Meet the new Knight Rider. "All My Children" hunk Justin Bruening is set as the lead in NBC's two-hour movie "Knight Rider," a "Transformers"-inspired sequel to the 1980s series about a man and his talking car.

If successful, the movie could lay the groundwork for a new series.

Bruening will play the son of Michael Knight, the character played by David Hasselhoff in the original series. And like father, like son, the choice of Bruening closely resembles Hasselhoff's casting a quarter-century ago.

Like Bruening, Hasselhoff was a soap star ("The Young & the Restless") with few other credits when he landed "Knight Rider." He was almost the same age as Bruening, who is 28.

Bruening also follows in the footsteps of fellow "Children" alum Josh Duhamel, who made the transition to a primetime leading man as the star of NBC's "Las Vegas."

Bruening plays Jamie Martin on "Children" and also had a role on the ABC soap "One Life to Live."

The whole Transformers mention is what kinda turned my stomach.  Anyway, here's a picture of the prick:

I'll wait and see how this turns out. BSG sounded bad when it first got going, but now it's my favorite show.

But come on, why is it "Transformers-inspired"?  Shouldn't it be, like, freaking Knight Rider-inspired?!

Nooez! It should have been me!

You're right.  You dropped the ball here.  Luckily you should still have one left.

Actually I'd uh...I'd still have 2 left.

Yeah, I don't really get that. How exactly is it "Transformers" inspired? If KITT turns into a giant Robot then I'm out. If William Daniels will be playing KITT then I'm in.

Maybe they're referring to generous product placement?

KITT: "Micheal...you've been driving a long time. I think we should pull over and get a Mountain Dew. DO THE DEW! Oh and  look there is a McDonalds now. I'm loving it. And while we stop we should chell out that drive in theater for crimals, and if they are not there we can see Fred Clause...opening November 9th."

Micheal: "Well according to my new Timex Watch, that takes a licking and keeps on ticking, we have time. Sounds like a plan buddy."

Semi-related, today in my marketing class, the professor was talking about subliminal ads and how you see the word "sex" and butts and stuff like that everywhere and in everything.  I mean, it really was stretch.  He spelled "sex" in crackers by connecting the "dots" (or indentions I guess because they were like Ritz crackers).  You could've spelled numerous three letter words.

Your professor just wants to see sex everywhere, because he's never seen it in person.

That's what I'm thinking.  Jeez.  He sounded like one of those little kids who calls everything a titty and giggles and runs away.

Maybe this will get Rama's corpse a-moving instead.  Have you heard about this Crow movie? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Crow:_Wicked_Prayer)  "The Crow" and Tara "Peps" Reid should never in any way be involved with one another.  And certainly not with Macy Gray and freakin' Angelus.

Tara reid was a little fuck towel before she became a star.  She used to work at an agency and everyone and their best friend's acquaintances nailed her.  One night at a club leo decaprio stuck gum in her hair on purpose for being the whore that she is.  It was on that day that young leo stopped being an androdgynous turd and became a man.

Anyone else have a problem with a guy who was born in November being named "Leo"?  :raiseeyebrow:

I do, until I see those big, bright eyes staring at me from the cover of The Aviator.

Yeah. It's only Crow movie I couldn't sit though.  It was bad...I made it about an half hour in and had to stop before ripping my own eyes from my skull. City of Angels was bad, but at least it had the dark stylish feel to make up for it's horrible script. This didn't even have that.

Yeah someone told me or I read about that too once.  But hey if you'd sucked all that cock to make it to celebrity status wouldn't you be a little bitter?

It's like having a kid born in August and naming him Rational.

A guy I know who's in the bands Soapy Tuna/Cinder (crappy FL bands from the West Coast) got to open for Creed for some shows. At the after-party backstage, she was there. He walked up to her to introduce himself, and she basically told him to fuck off. When he said he was in the opening band, she said: "I was in American Pie, guess who's more of a celebrity".

Fuck Tara Reid and her shitty titjob.

Or like knowing a kid named Robert and telling him to fuck himself.

KITT a ford! Fuck that. I would have pushed for a Trans Am if they still made them, but they could have at least used the new Camro since the Camro and Trans Am always shared about 90% of their parts.

"Duel rear spoilers = trailer trash"

I agree with that.  Well maybe not the spelling of "dual", but with the sentiment anyway.

That car doesn't look sentient like original.  I know that doesn't make a lot of sense but it seems like they went with whoever gave them the biggest kick back on this one.

For some reason, I went to Wikipedia him and the reply "I haven't seen Arrested Development" entered my head before the page loaded and I knew he even came out in it.  Anyway, I have almost certainly seen nothing he's come out in.

That's because he hasn't come out in anything. He's married to Amy Poehler. 100% heterosexual.

I don't know how I feel about Arnett. I think I'll miss the stuck up snootiness of Daniels, but at the moment I'm still pissed off about the Shelby.

If you're referring to the days of older cars, then I'm with you.  Those 60's era Shelbys looked pretty sweet.

I missed it, but I'm not to broken up about it. I'm sure it'll repeat on Sci-Fi in a few weeks since they get all of NBC's Sci-Fi/Fanatsy Shows since they are both owened by Universal.
