Title: Renaissance costume almost finished
Post by: The D on Oct 03, 2007, 01:52:47 AM
We went to the Ren Fair this last weekend for it's final night. I was going with my mother and one of her old friends. This friend had a daughter about my age who's mixed (black dad), and I hadn't really seen her since we were both kids. And I'm thinking maybe we could hook up as we go to the same school.

My first impression of her was not good. She drives up in an Escalade Urban Assault Tank with huge chrome rims. She steps out of her semi looking like the black version of Faye. She's wearing big-name clothing with low-cut jeans and a tight tank top and an inch of makeup, a fashionable handbag, and giant sunglasses. So she looks like a total tramp. She looked like one of those girls who worries more about how they look and how many guys will fuck them than anyone else. She was probably spoiled rotten her entire life like a "princess". In other words she's just like Faye. And I wouldn't touch her in a million years. I guess her dating one of the football players years ago should have clued me in.

(BTW, what the fuck is with girls wearing enormous sunglasses? those things are NOT sexy or fashionable.)

People... please remember, if you have a daughter, spoiling her to death like she's God herself will only make her into a stupid slut. There's plenty of statistical evidence of this.

Anyway, they didn't even want to spend several hours at the fair before she got bored. She said weird nerdy shit like that wasn't her kind of thing. Good thing I drove in my own car.

But I'm way off track. I am very close to FINALLY finishing a costume appropriate for such a fair, and I actually have the money to do it. Years ago I got a cloak for $150, it's black velvet outside and purple satin inside. Earlier I had bought some cheap pirate boots. Last weekend I got a pair of Harem Pants, which are regular loose cotton pants with elastic leg holes and a drawstring waist. I'm a bit disappointed in the lack of pockets in traditional period clothing, although I could wear a belt with pouches or sew a pouch inside the pants.

So now all I have to find is a shirt. The upper body is the one part hardest to dress for as it's the part everyone's going to notice first. I may just get a cheapass cotton or highlander shirt, but this is a chance to get something elaborate like a shirt with fancy trim, a tunic, vest, or a doublet. Or if I really want to spend a lot I can get something kickass like this (http://www.pendragoncostumes.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=pendragon&Category_Code=drag_prince_dub). I really want to try to get this whole medieval goth look going. I wonder if a gothic or anime picture might help inspire me (so if you have some, let me see them  ).

Bernie may be able to give suggestions, as I'm sure she's into stuff like this and she mentioned a belly dancer friend of hers.

And be honest.  Bagging a hot girl like Faye would be a coup for you.  To quote Tom Tucker, "I guess beggars can be choosers."

In a related story I have almost finished my giant "Nerd" sign which I plan to pin to D's back.

Indeed it is.

Is that also where you sleep with some girl only to leave the next morning before she wakes up and never call her back again?

Well you can do that to the one's that you don't despise as well.

Because she's not a minor?
I hardly EVER wear makeup. The only makeup I wear is in the eyes, and only a little. Also, I don't like to wear clothes that have the names of the makers all over them, so unless you've seen it before in a magazine or something you wouldn't even know its a designer shirt/skirt/whatever.

I should have broken this topic in two, but I doubt anyone would have had costume advice besides Bernie and maybe Tom and Rama, so the topic would be pretty empty. And Nuri would bitch about me making two topics about the same thing.

Faye's got an ok body, but the face... eh.

I wanna see pics of the girl, Doug. Get her naked or some shit with the stuff you use on the Kindergarten class.

No, I would've bitched as to why the other non-Renaissance half couldn't go in a blog, like I did already.  :)

I figured out what kind of shirt I'll get, I just have to find it online.

J-lo's not attractive. And her ass is too big. I'm too white to be a big ass person, I'd have to be black to like big asses (and trust me, I know black guys who can't stop talking about their favorite part of a  woman being a big fat ass).

I like her ass so I must not be as white as you.

I love big asses, too. Naomi the pornstar may have a butterface, but that ass is superior. Not bad for a Jew, eh?

I'll tres that. I like big butts and I cannot lie.

Maybe D is just some sort of subrace known as ultra-white, or Cracker-honkitus.

The one who does the Bang Bros stuff. I dunno about the tattoo, but she's gotta butter face, thin and got a big donkey. It's amazing.

Aww thanks Merlaa!!! :-D

Btw, JLo is pregnant. We'll see how that big ass of hers melts down in the next months. Its good to have a big ass, but it sucks because the bigger it is, the more prone it is to cellulitis
