:( And I'm completely Spider-manning about it. Whenever this shit happens you always know exactly who to blame for it, yet you know you can't accomplish anything by doing so. :nono: So it's never a compicated issue, and you always feel like you didn't really mourn enough or at least didn't spend enough time thinking about it. Does that make sense to anyone? It should, because everything I say makes sense.
-
I know what you're talking about. A friend of mine killed himself back in high school but I wasn't as sad as everyone else because I wasn't that close to him. So then I felt bad because everyone was crying and I wasn't.
-
I knew a guy in HS that did himself in too, but we barely knew each other. I think I had a Judo class with him in 6th Grade and then he is was on my Bowling team for a few months and he kinda kept to himself anyway.
-
It should, because everything I say makes sense.
Yes, yes it does.
-
Just last Christmas one of my dad's closest friends commited suicide, because he found out his slut girlfriend was messing around wtih his friend. And he had like 5 children. I miss him and I'll never forget we all went to the Amazon Jungle together :-(
-
Man.
Yeah, Antonio left behind a five-year-old daughter.
-
I suppose it's the Catholic in me, but I never could. Live is so wonderful, why would you ever want to end it prematurely? Sure, something may suck today, but tomorrow's a new day and there's always good things. I dunno, gayness, right?
Ah well.
-
Yes, um.
Profound.
-
My friend's dad killed himself recently. I don't even know how to broach the subject.
-
"At least now your Mom is availible!"
-
I gave Derrick a pellet for that one...
-
Live is so wonderful, why would you ever want to end it prematurely?
Shut-up.
-
:(
-
My work here progresses.
-
My work here is done.
-
Live is so wonderful, why would you ever want to end it prematurely?
You and me must live in different worlds then. But I'd never do myself in, even if I did think I would be better off. Besides I got a plan, and if the plan goes according to plan then things will be better. So I guess it's the dreamer in me that won't let me do it.

My experiences have been the bad things in life contrast so that there are good things. There's no such thing as a 'good life' without it also being a 'bad life'.
Look at Phucking Heiress-Whore, she's a rich bitch who has everything, yet she's always escaping through the numbness of alcohol.
-
"bad" things do not override the "good" things in life. That's ridiculous.
-

I almost thought you were talking about Faye for a moment there, since she drinks a lot as well.
ahh.....
I sometimes think about taking up smoking cigs or weed just to deal when I'm really stressed out, but I don't want to be addicted and I don't want to do illegal shit. But what does that leave you? Alcohol? That certainly works but I can't drink that before or during work which is the most stressful part of the day.
-
...or can you?
-
When I worked in a restaurant I always tried to get drunk ASAP. The nights would be fun.
-
Ehm I don't drink that much at ALL. as a matter of fact, i haven't got (gotten?) drunk in a month.
-
What the fuck is wrong with you?
-
I haven't had a drink in weeks.
-
I still don't drink. Never found anything that agreed with me. Besides, I hate dealing with drunks. They smell.
-
I don't know what kind of sloppy drunks you're used to dealing with but I usually smell like eternity when I'm wasted.
-
Family. Heh ha ha. My experience growing up is that people who drink smell and nothing in my admittedly limited experiences with other drunks so far has disproven this. If I want to smell alcohol, I'll go remove my nail polish.
-
I don't drink either, as I also have a tolerance for drunks. I am really at a loss to see how "going drinking" is fun.
-
No one likes to be sober around annoying drunk people period. But not every drunk is annoying, some of them are funny. Going drinking is fun for all sorts of reasons from lowering your inhibitions to sharing a common experience with friends. If you stay sober your whole life you exist only in that state of being. There are several other avenues to be explored. Walk the golden path.
-
I definately only drink around other people who get like me when drunk.
This summer I was blasted alot. I kinda felt like Peter in Family guy: "Aren't you a little old to be underaged drinking" because I was drinking with highschool kids. In my defense, they were drinking at my house and some of the booze was mine. Drinks + Women = Sexual freedom.
Fun summer.

I doubt I'd find it funny. I do have an admittedly odd sense of humor though.

No thanks. I kinda get the social aspect but lowered inhibitions? If someone needs an excuse like drinking, maybe their ass ain't ready for lowered inhibitions. Not to mention the sickening sheer number of people who commit violent or distasteful acts who always use it as a crutch or excuse for their own irresponsibility. Screw the lower inhibition thing. If you don't have the balls to say it or do it to me sober, then STFU and get lost. I'm also bitter because I've met a few people who I thought were fucking awesome sober, and they would go get drunk and act like morons. There was nothing wrong with the way they already were and it saddens me. :(
-
I went to a party like a couple of weeks ago, and everybody was wasted except for me. it was soooooooo boring, i felt like crying! I don't know, I'm disliking getting soo drunk that I do dumb shit. it got old a loooong time ago.
-
Forget that sickening sheer number. For every person that does something horrible while drunk there are 1000s that went out and drank and had a great time that night. It's not just about lower inhibitions either, you do and say things that you wouldn't have otherwise thought to have done or said and a lot of the time those things are fucking awesome.
Those people didn't drink to change themselves because something was wrong with them. Are you 100% sure that they were acting like morons? Are you completely positive that perhaps out of no where (when you realized they drink) a horse didn't gallop up and maybe you climbed up on that horse?
Or maybe they were acting like morons but only from the perspective of a sober person. If you're not drinking with them then you'd feel excluded and them not being/acting sober might make you get annoyed with them when in reality they're just having fun and if you were also drunk you might be having fun right along with them.
-
Or maybe they were acting like morons but only from the perspective of a sober person.
It doesn't make them less moronic though, it would just make me blind because I would be drunk, too.
Are you completely positive that perhaps out of no where (when you realized they'd get drunk and act irresponsibly and selfishly, using drinking as a excuse to do generally stupid things and act like dicks when they could've just as well done those things sober but were too chicken shit) a horse didn't gallop up and maybe you climbed up on that horse?
Corrected. And no I'm not.
-
See you're making it out to be all evil as if nothing good socially ever comes from drinking. People bond together from drinking. They enter a state of communitas complete with liminality and several other anthropological words.
-
Well to put things in context, I see evil in everything and everyone.
-
sounds like you need to switch contact brands
-
I don't wear contacts, silly mortal.
-
Then you should have gone to America's Best for your glasses.
*gets a paycheck in the mail*
-
I don't think we have those here.
-
I knew this guy who killed himself...my former best friend. I say former because he got hooked on some shit and tried to beat me up one night. After living with his life in a shambles for ten-to-fifteen years, he took a 12 gauge and put a shotshell through his face. And I can tell you now, while it's his own stupid fault for doing it, the booze and dope he took over the years helped it along, and the booze and dope his dad did while he was growing up and the abuse that occurred as a result contributed to the situation.
Despite my chosen handle, I've never been drunk and never will be. I say and do enough crap that I regret while stone sober. I see no need to see just how messed up I can possibly get. Anyone doing this from time to time simply has a character flaw. Anyone doing this on a habitual basis has a problem dealing with reality and needs to grow the hell up before they royally screw themselves over for keeps.

Remove the word "need" from your observations and you will be that closer to enlightenment.
-
sharing a common experience with friends.
I've never had to be drinking to do that. If all you have in common with your friends is you like to get wasted, then maybe they arn't your friends.
-
I don't think we have those here.
Be glad. the ads spout out stuff about $69 for two pairs of designer glasses, but what they don't tell you is that the lenses are separate and much more expensive, so you may be paying over $200.
.....
*has someone come to his house to reclaim the paycheck*

That's not how it works. That's like saying if all you have in common with your friends is baseball then maybe they aren't your friends.
-
But they wouldn't be.
-
*scrolls up*
Your're straw manning.

Quoted because you communicated that far better than I did.

I stand by what I posted and how it was put. You need more absolutes and less Absolut in your life.
-
Getting drunk once in awhile isn't a character flaw anymore than never drinking is.
-
Drinking too much is irresponsible, and doing anything complicated after is stupid and dangerous.
Now enjoying some wine, or fine Patron is downright tasty. Who doesn't drink a beer when watching football? I'd say 1 beer in 3 hours is good. Go Pats. :)
-
The only semi-complicated thing you should have to figure out is which way the condom unrolls.
-
Hopefully you didn't drink enough to be wondering that for the OTHER guy. I'm lookin at you, Rama.
-
I'll trust you're speaking from experience.
Duly noted.
-
The Crying Game is an important movie. ;.;
-
The realization that no one is going to touch my penis except me for the months that I'm imprisoned here is starting to set in. The topic title might pertain to all of you soon.
-
So it's true, you either are a fraud or unable to prey on anyone but drunk, naive college girls? Otherwise I dunno how a man in Miami couldn't find a good enough piece of tail.
-
What am I gonna do? Go hit the bars/clubs by myself?
-
Depends on where you go, find a friend, hang out at the beach, relax. Damn dude. You're acting like Doug for Christ's sakes.
-
That's easy for you to say. You have friends here. I just moved back here, had my car broken into, crashed it a few days later, and I'm about to have surgery. If anyone has legit reasons to doug out it's me. But instead of bitching I'm going to walk the honorable path: http://www.realultimatepower.net/index4.htm (http://www.realultimatepower.net/index4.htm)

 Well said. But I submit that one does not "need" to do anything with his life, other than whatever the hell it is that he damn well pleases.
