Title: The Wheel of time has stopped.
Post by: IDE on Sep 17, 2007, 12:01:53 AM
Robert Jordan is dead.  We'll never know what happens.  I quit after book seven so the ending of the series doesn't really matter to me.  I'm gonna chell out his conan books someday though.

Surely he left notes and stuff so someone can piece it together.

Will it be Hunters of Dune all over again?

I read that. I have my doubts that the old man and woman where ever intended to be Evermind and Eramus. Just a lame way to legitimize Brian Herbert’s DUNE books. Not that I much cared for anything after Children of Dune anyway.

I would put a spoiler tag on that, but I think everyone that was going to read them at this board, has already.

Dune is an amazing novel. My favorite of all time. But they get worse as they go on. Dune should have never had sequels.

Agreed. My interest went into the desert with Paul.

And how can this be? For he is the Kwisatz Haderach!

Just thinking about that part of the movie gets me fired up, never read the books.

Well....I hate to be buzzkill, but that whole raining on Arakis bit never happened in the book.

Think of all the worms that would have drowned and how much water would have been changed -  the party would still be going on. :hump:

Does it never rain on arakis? I thought it had to rain in the desert sometimes or else where the hell do a-rabs get their water.

Rama, take his water for the tribe.  Since it's probably already 90 proof, put it in the mixer cistern.  :faye:

They get most of their water from devices called "Windtraps" and there is frozen ice on the poles. But it never rains on Arakis.

Oh yeah....they drink the water of the dead too. IDE contained 90 litters of the tribes water....and it smells funny.

Except for me, dick bitch.
Altough anything 2 years or older is fair game in my book, so whatever.

Not my fault you read at a 4th grade level. Be mad at the system, not me.

I see, he's a tolkien ripoff.

I read too many books to even start with those, not that they interest me ever.

His world is pretty different from LOTR but more or less yeah. And from his writings I think he liked being tied up by women.

Like Ian Fleming was a closet homosexual. That's my theory at least.
