Title: Hey, Tom.
Post by: MegatronYES on Oct 03, 2004, 11:19:58 PM
Is that your real name?  You too, Chelsey.  If not , then where did you get it from?
Title: Hey, Tom.
Post by: B E C K on Oct 03, 2004, 11:45:53 PM
Tom is Derek.  (I think I spelled it right.)  Chelsey is Chelsey, I think.

What are you, BTW?  Are you like a Robert or somethin'?
Title: Hey, Tom.
Post by: Evil Monkey-Tom on Oct 03, 2004, 11:56:32 PM
My name is Derrick. I picked tom cuz it's easier to type than Derrick, and it gives me some anonymity, and trust me, Tom is much more evil than Derrick.

Oh cool.  You spell it to where if you pull out 'err', you're 'dick'!  :D

Humans should always be given short names or names that can be abreviated to 4 letters of less. I have a good name.

Me too!

Dick!

That you do.  My full name, not including monosyllabic middle name, is six syllables.  It just feels like too many.  I used Becky/Becki growing up and it's so fucking cheerleader.  And Rebecca either sounds like a upright secretary holding a pencil with her spincter or a trailer trash whore with eight kids.
Title: Hey, Tom.
Post by: MegatronYES on Oct 04, 2004, 12:15:06 AM
It does.  If I ever spoke to you IRL, I wouldn't be able to call you anything other than Nuri, probably.

Yeah, it's Robert.  Robert Thomas Dant, aka. Ready to Drink.

God, that is so clever.

I would like to publish a few books someday and it's so not gonna be under 'Rebecca'.  *GARG*

I had always wanted to name my second daughter Rebecca.  Seriously, I like the name.

Your second daughter?  You little slut!   :o
Title: Hey, Tom.
Post by: MegatronYES on Oct 04, 2004, 12:40:33 AM
No, damn!  I mean like, with the prospective clan of four or five children, I thought of three male names and three female names.  Leftovers would be given to the dog or cat.

Have you ever thought about what you would name your children?  I know you probably wouldn't want any, anyhow.
Title: Hey, Tom.
Post by: Evil Monkey-Tom on Oct 04, 2004, 12:44:45 AM
I would name mine Roscoe, Butch and Lucinda.

Ah ha ha ha ha.

Okay, here's mine, by birth:

Robert Thomas, Jr.
Matthew Sephiroth
Randal Wayne

Kimberly Lynn
Rebecca Suzanne
Sarah Crystal

You'd seriously use Sephiroth as a middle name? And I thought I was being nerdy, naming my rats after FFIX characters.

Post by: MegatronYES on Oct 04, 2004, 12:59:10 AM
I'm Jewish.

When I was little, I thought if I'd ever had kids I'd name the boys Bryan or Jake.  Girls, I either didn't think about too much or I changed my mind so much I can't remember.  One name I liked when I got older was Cruz.  As a first name.  It was my great-grandmother's.  And funny enough, I do like Kali as a real little girl's name.

Would you really name the kid Sephiroth?  Even as a middle name it just screams for bullies to come.
Title: Hey, Tom.
Post by: MegatronYES on Oct 04, 2004, 01:00:30 AM
No it doesn't.  It's a good name.

Post by: MegatronYES on Oct 04, 2004, 01:02:15 AM
Uh oh.

No seriously, I think it's a good name.  It's not like I'm gonna refer to them all as my "childer" or something.
Title: Hey, Tom.
Post by: Bitch on Oct 04, 2004, 01:04:25 AM
Sephiroth is as good a name as Kansas for a kid. Either way, you're asking to have your kid come home every day with a black eye or two.
Title: Hey, Tom.

No, the army in you will overrule that, Megs, and they'll be your "men".
Title: Hey, Tom.

People don't get beat up because their names are weird.  It's a middle name, anyway.

Other than Hyacinth Bucket ( pronounced Bouquet ), I've never meant any English people that were annoying.
This is a man's actual name?  Water hyacinth is illegal in most areas of Texas, btw.

I have a friend whose father is an evangelist, and never married his mother.

Malik is Leonard Clark's oldest son, at 20 years old.  Malik has around fifteen half-siblings that he's never met, and six that he has.  Only seven of those births are within wedlock.

Oh, and I forgot to "WTF?" this.
My dad supposedly divorced her a couple of years back, so she's no longer my stepmom.  But my dad's also a compulsive liar, so it's hard to call.

:o ....

...so, has he been married to two women all this time?
Title: Hey, Tom.

It's not that uncommon, though it is kind of a shock when the two wives find out. Like my mom's father left his first wife and married my grandma without bothering to get a divorce first. They don't really chell on that stuff when you're getting married.

No Meg.  My parents divorced way back in the early nineties.  He tricked her into a divorce (long story) so he could marry stepho and left my mom to pay his thousands in IRS debt.  Then while he was still married to stepho, he got back with my mom (not remarried, mind you).  Then he just began withdrawing again and then left one day for some chick named Linda (who spells it Lynnda, teh fuck?) that they knew in highschool.  That was months ago and my mom is still taking it pretty damn hard.  His idea of leaving was a casual "I'm going.  Your mom will put her own spin on things." and then never returning home again.  Fucking pig fucker.  The minute I no longer need any money from him, I'm severing ties.  So in a nutshell, he could be a bigamist but I don't think he is.

No.  He hasn't lived with us for several months now.  I'll just have to be the man of the house I guess...  :/

Are your parents married?
Title: Hey, Tom.
Post by: MegatronYES on Oct 20, 2004, 03:58:15 AM
Divorced since 1991.  I live in Atlanta as does my older half-sister, my mother in Roswell about seven miles north of me, and my father lives in Zionsville, Indiana with his second wife of now... ....eleven years, and along with his three other children and my step-sister recently moved within a few blocks of them.  My mother never remarried but nearly did in about 1997 but crazied him away.

I have a very good relationship with my father and stepmother and their kids (the "babies"), not with my mother (as she's as crazy as she is well-meaning) and I hate my older sister with a passion that only died out when she and I completely stopped speaking.

Why did you hate your older sister?
Title: Hey, Tom.
Post by: MegatronYES on Oct 20, 2004, 04:11:13 AM
She's a horrible person.  I still hate her, the passion for it is jus tno longer there, since she's just not a part of my life at all. My mother even stopped talking to her.  I actually talk to her father more often than I do her. That's basically because I live like a block away from him.  Which is really surreal to me, because I remember visiting his house fifteen some years ago to see my sister and shit when my whole family (except her, duh) still lived in Indiana.
