Since I've started wirting on my own novel, I've paid more attention to the begining credits of movies to see if a movie is based on a book or not. Well a few days ago I ran on a guy that was selling off some of his DVD for 2 bucks each. Most weren't worth even the 2 bucks they wanted for them. It was a who's who of the Wal-Mart Bargin bin. Despite this there were a few winner among them. I ended up taking V for Vendetta, Reservoir Dogs, and First Blood. AKA: Rambo 1.
I hadn't seen First Blood since the 80's and so I popped it in first because out of all the movies I bought it was the one I had forgot the most about. So title credits start to roll and "Based on the Novel by David Morrell" and I was like What the Fuck...Rambo is a literary character?
So I did a little checking and indeed it was based on a book, of the same name. Published in 1972. They did end up changing the book a lot, making Rambo more the hero and the police the bad guys, unlike the book where the roles where reversed. Now the sequels First Blood 2 and Rambo 3 weren't based on any books. In fact Rambo may or may not have died in the book version. I havn't found that out yet. However, David Morrell did write the novelizations for both Rambo 2 and 3.
In sidenote, there was actually an alternate ending where Rambo was in fact killed by Colonel Trautman. We could have had a world without Rambo 2,3, and the Upcoming Rambo 4. Go figure.

upcoming rambo 4!?
I'd rather see rocky 7: rise of the vampires

V For Vendetta for 2$? Shit...
Anyway I think your problem is that you're so desperate for a diversion from writting that you'll watch Rambo.
-
Eh I usually do that. I write a few pages, then step away and do something else. Play video games, watch a movie, (Just finished Life of Brian) and then come back to it. Keeps me from getting too bogged down by it and I'm still kicking out 3-4 pages a day that way.
And the first Rambo wasn't half bad. It's a much more serious film about a Vietnam vet suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, who is alienated from socitey by a America that hates the vets for just doing what they were ordered to, and he just snaps when a small town cop gives him a hard time. It made a lot of statements, and isn't nearly as camp as it's two sequels.
-
Isn't Rambo supposed to be going after terrorists in Afghanistan in 4?
-
No idea, but he fought the Soviets in Afghanistan in 3, so that would be a little redundant. Send him to South America to fight drug lords. He hasn't been there yet.
-
Drug lords are boring. [Southern drawl]He needs to go to I-rack, that's wut. Amerr-ca needs a heero ta su-port our troops.[/Southern drawl]
I really want to see new movies with Rambo, Die Hard's John McClaine, and Indy all compete in the same year. The battle of the old guys!

Ha, I do that with homework. Not a movie so much but an episode or something or I draw/write or go online. I just don't have the attention span to go very long and not start day-dreaming or something. With my writing, I open it up almost everytime I'm at my computer and add a piece or two to it.

Delete me...I was an unwanted post that ruined Rama's life.

Kinda sucks that won't happen. Live Free or Die Hard comes out this summer, Rambo 4 is in 2008 and they are just starting to shoot Indy 4 this summer, unless it got pushed back again for the four thousandth time.

Yeah. That's what happens to me too. If I don't step away from it when that happens it starts to effect my writing. Cause I'm forcing myself to sit there and do it, and it's never as good when I do that.

Hiccup!
-
Han will be dead and on his twentieth earring by the time that damn movie gets made.
-
Bah..they were talking about him fighting commies instead of Nazis this time. It might be for the better if he did.
-
An earring'ed zombie fighting communists. I guess it could work if he still has his bullwhip.
-
Talking about Rambo... I went to the restaurant that was used as "Adrian's" restaurant in the pic, and I got a poster from the movie, that Sylvestr himself gave to the manager! woohoo! so exciting
-
Did it still smell like him?
-
:joe:
-
Like sweat and steroids.
-
Like sweat, cologne, and weekold lasagna... with a lingering hint of either style product on his hair or facial makeup.

The bartender also said that he went back there for his bday last year (either it was june or july or sometime around then). Hmm maybe I should go stalk him

Do it! And get a picture.

...of Sly squeezing your boob.
Come to think of it, why didn't you get a pic like that when you met Fabio?
-
Fabio doesn't actually squeeze tits, he has a handler that does all the squeezing for him.
-
Are you kidding me? The Fabster is all about the touchy-feely. I'll bet he squeezes dozens of boobs every day.
-
He couldn't do that and run his fingers through his abundant locks of silken, gold hair at the same time!
-
How do you think it got so silky and golden in the first place? He squeezes the boobs to extract the precious boob oil, then runs his oil-soaked hands through his hair for maximum Fabiage.
You'd know that if you were on his mailing list.

haha i just read Ron Jeremy did that to some woman and she's not suing him!
I would have let him do that if he would have let me grab his ass
-
Sounds like an even exchange to me.
-
now i have to wait till i see him
i'm sure that if he's not gay, he'll want to do me.i mean, i might have lost some boobs, but my ass is as hard as ever.
-
Can I throw your ass through the window of the old abandoned McQuire house?
-
And disturb the vagrants?
-
if it de-attaches itself from my body, then yes sure, why not.
whats the mc what house?
-
Did you just start rapping?
-
ew no
i meant the mcquire mcguire, mc something you were talking about
-
I just made that up so you'd lend me your ass.
-
I'm sorry I can't:(
I have it on a lease for the next 45 years.
-
You should have Rented to Own. I knew a woman that did that with her breasts.
-
rented to own???
-
Just remember really hot older women exercise all throughout life.
-
I don't need to exercise. My body stays fit by itself B)
-
Yeah, work is for plebes! *bloats*

My brother is the same way. Real fucking skinny and eats nothing but garbage.
-
I'm not skinny. But I'm not flabby either.

:: Books Maury show, and construction crew to cut away the wall early. ::
I saw some of Maury the other day and I can't see how they can keep up the same show for so long. "He is not the father." "No!!! That's impossible!!! He gots to be!" *runs off crying and flails on the floor/curls up into fetal position/tucks self into a corner/slumps on the stairs*
And then they test half a dozen guys and they still can't find the father. Jesus.
-
"He looks just like him! They got the same nose Maury. Look at that..same eyes, same hair, same ears. I am 100% sure he is my baby's daddy."
-
Hmmm Mauryyyy
-
This one chick kept bringing the wrong guys to the show. Then, she decides to test this dude who was still in prison and IS THE FATHER OF HER TWO OTHER CHILDREN. I mean, holy shit, what a concept that your children all have the SAME father! He was the father, and now that he's out of prison, he's such a good daddy now! :joe: Proponents of eugenics only need to arm themselves with tapes of the Maury Povich show. These people don't need to breed!
