I stopped giving a shit after Spidey revealed his secert idenity. That's not something Parker would do, and it was just a stunt to try to get people to read it. Might as well put a chrome/Hologram cover on it while they were at it.

WITH LIMITED EDITION ART BY ROB LIEFIELD, MARK SILVERSTRI, TODD MACFARLENE, AND JIM LEE~! SURE THEY LEFT MARVEL YEARS AGO AND WE NEVER GAVE CREDIT TO GREAT NEW ARTISTS LIKE JOE MADUERIA, CHRIS BACHALO, THE KUBERT BROTHERS, SALVADOR LAROCCA, AND MARK BAGELY, BUT WE NEED THOSE IMAGE DOLLARS TO HELP OUR SALES!

Marvel pissed me right the fuck off marrying Storm off to Black Panther and turning them into the poster children of the new Marvel. Black Panther's a shitty super hero, and it's not like Storm to depend on anyone else for help.

*gripes in the corner*

It's not like anybody else besides Hudlin likes his book anyway.

"If you don't like this book, you're a racist!"

I bet. I think the best end to Civil War would be to have Capt kill Tony Stark. He's a dead character anyways who's lived past his prime, and has a new trend where his Ultimate version is more interesting that the original ever was.

A good solution to the Spider-Man dilemna would be another Scarlet Witch "No more fucked up everyone knows who Spidey is shit" utterance, followed by him teaching (in a classroom) a kid who has Spider-Man powers (either mutant or accidental), and ending up becoming his mentor. While it might be like Batman and Robin, I think it would create more of the dynamic missing in the main comics and add some substance to his storylines.

What if we just give everyone Civil War period outfits and weapons and set them loose on a field?

Luke Cage would become a slave and Bullseye would get gangrene and lose a leg?

It's the scarlet witch that alters reality and makes people forget shit was ever different right?

I've never been much on Marvel...I prefer the total mindfuck that is the DC universe.

Same for me. I only started reading Marvel with Civil War. I don't even know if I'm going to continue once it finishes.

Let's just bring in a new virus to kill everyone.

Didnt weird reality altering shit happen in House of M?
Title: Heh. Hey, Rama

Scarlet Witch went insane with grief over the loss of her kids so she altered reality to a world where mutants were the majority. In the end everything reset like nothing had ever happened, except Wolverine has all of his memories back, and SW made it so that there's less than 200 mutants on Earth now, as opposed to the millions upon millions there was before.

So she could fix all this with another "reset".

Yup, especially after she fucked hawkeye. I am not liking the results of house of M, since dead characters are popping out of the grave.

Marvel really fucked up with the rebirth of Apocalypse. The buildup was intense, especially with the choices of horsemen, and then it ended with a whimper and the disapearence of Gambit. Total mindfuck.

Thor is dead, Cap and Iron Man are at each others throats and Black Goliath is running around. My whole world has been turned upside down.

Other than the fact that Clor killed Black Goliath.

God, I miss the real Thor.

I wish the writing for the main comics wouldn't be so damn stale.

Ultimate Comics and Exiles are still great, though.

This is why I like stuff with endings.

Sometimes the ending suck, like the Ninth Gate.

Yeah I never understood that one.
But I have to say, watching Johnny Depp having sex with someone was kinda hot!

I liked the ending of the 9th gate.  He walked through there and gained infinite powet and knowledge from satan what's not to understand?

The book it's based on looks more interesting.  Not that I'm going to read it anytime soon.

Or something along those lines.  Why do you think the bad guy wanted to open the ninth gate?  It's like Faust.

Well we are dealing with the devil...the father of all lies. No telling what he really got when he went through. He may have ended up getting a red hot poker shoved up his ass for infinity, and the devil is standing there yelling "SUCKER!"

Either way, great movie, terrible ending. The book it's based on didn't end that way.

I may have to track this book down then, cause now I'm curious.

You don't have time to read, you're suppose to be writing your own.

Reading is the best lesson on how to write. Besides I read everynight before I go to bed, and I'm almost done with my current book. Need something to take it's place.

But I can't sleep unless I do. It's like having the fan on, or that stupid little green night light that's suppose to make the spiders go away. My OCD won't allow me not to.

Post by: B E C K on Feb 05, 2007, 10:04:22 PM
I had to learn not to sleep with the fan on because I woke up in the morning freezing my ass off.  There's a nightlight that makes spiders go away?
Title: Heh. Hey, Rama

Actually it's a ultra sonic device that makes Spiders go away that just happens to also have a night light on it.

And I always turn the fan away from me, and my bedroom is huge...so I never get cold. I just need the noise.
