And only a little over a day late. I would've posted earlier, but I decided to spend a great portion of it vegging out to the Twilight Zone marathon. Also of note, if you happen to open your closet door and look inside, you will come to find out you own this board in a shoebox.
-
Finally, something to keep all those Cell Phones and Cameras I have stuffed in that shoebox company. I just hope they don't procreate.
-
Happy Naruto Year!

Are you gonna get the new dvd collection? I know someone that will !
-
Eventually yes, but I'm not certain if that's really something I want on DVD anytime soon. While many are classics for sure, there's a sizable amount of episodes I don't necessarily find rewatchable. I'm not in any hurry to see that lonely old woman crying about Brian or that cynical old man that didn't go play outside and get younger with the other geezers. That's kinda depressing.
-
Happy nude year
-
I just pictured you wearing nothing but a Naruto headband and a smile. :joe:
-
Yes.
-
Sometime this year I will be published.
-
Awesome, make it happen.
-
I'll let you know.
-
Sometime this year I will be published.
That's my goal this year as well.
-
My plan is to at least have something published on this here interweb. I haven't compiled enough poetry nor finished the story I'm working on now. Even though the latter is looking more like a 80+ installment serial, I would prefer to finish it before divulging any part of it. I would like something complete to present.
Are you guys looking at a book or magazines? Or will it be something online as well?
-
Well books for me. But I have been trying to get a meeting with a writer from Fate Magazine that lives in this area. She expressed interest in reading my stuff through a third party, but I have yet to actually meet her. If I could get her to look at my stuff and she likes it, she might be able to put a good word for me with her editors I might just be able to get something in there.
But my main goal is to do novels. I have 9 book series in the works, and I have another series of novels based in the same world as those 9 but they follow a different character, and then I have outlines for 2 stand alone novels and some drawings and notes on a children's book. And then I have done research on a Non-fiction book about the Haunted Location of my area, but the well has dried up lately and I don't have enough for a whole book yet.
Sadly...none of them are done. I was hoping to have at least a pitch ready send out by Christmas for the first novel (which I'm into the 3rd draft), but that didn't happen because of a severe case of writers block that has plagued me of the last 6 months.
I plan on putting writings on a web page in the future, but only after I get some other stuff published. The extra writing would just be there to draw people into the novels and let me use some ideas that weren't big enough for a book on their own. Course, I still have to buy the domain for those, which I also hope to, get done this year. I know the one I want is available, I just haven’t done it yet.
-
I just realized I wasn't specific in my previous post. That should've been "I haven't compiled enough poetry nor finished the story I'm working on now to consider either of those for publication." I have possible other stuff that I wanted to get online, aside from those.
Probably a dumb ques., but what's Fate Magazine?
-
I'm taking an advanced narrative video production class this...my final...semester *sniff* and I hopefully the professor will let me write a screen play instead of whatever crap research paper he probably had planned for me.
Then the ballad of IDE will be told in full. The prophetic rise to powet, the temptation and subsequent aquiesence to the dark side and then in the final act REDEMPTION!...but I'm not sure how that's gonna work since I haven't lived the final act yet.
-
I thought Van Wilder was already made.
-
It will be basically the same movie but with "based on a true story" in the trailer.
-
Probably a dumb ques., but what's Fate Magazine?
http://www.fatemag.com/ (http://www.fatemag.com/)
Basicly it's the longest and most well known mag. dealing with the paranormal. They also publish Sci-Fi short stories and do Book reviews from time to time.
-
They also love to pull stuff out of their ass and say it is a true story
-
Online Magazine. My Novel has been....put on hold for about a year or so thanks to events and a really bad case of Writers Block.
It's called Signs & Portents, it's a wargaming magazine put out by a company that puts out both roleplaying games and wargames (Like Warhammer 40k.) I've written....five articles now and submitted them, each one basically an advanced tactics guide to a specific game.
I know they're going to put out two of the articles some time within the next few months (It's a monthly publication, see....) and they sent the other two back to me so I could edit the format, and then they had me send them back in so I assume that if they didn't like'em they would've said no outright. The fifth I just finished and need to submit to them.
The Online magazine itself is free to download, but if I get any article published then I'll get paid 2 cents per published word, so it'll be some nice spare change since each article is around 5,500 - 6,000 words, so that's around $100 or so dollars per article. Dunno how much they'll edit it down, but still its a start.

Man, I heard that. Glad I'm not the only one that's happened too. I use to write from anywhere from 4-6 hours a day. Now...I'm lucky if I make a few notes. It's gotten so bad I've looked into hypnosis to try to fix the problem. But the first guy I talked to wanted 85 bucks a session, so I decided to look around some more.

That's not bad. I mean you won't retire or get rich on that, but at least you are getting paid for it. Which is more then I can currently claim.
-
True. I've already started a sixth article as well. The site in question is www.mongoosepublishing.com
I hate Writers block. So...Very...Much. I can knock out these 15 page articles no problem but when I go to do work on the novel it's like my mind just turns off...which is just BALLS.
-
Oh I know. I turned out the first draft of my novel in 2 months. At that pace I should have been able to turn out 2 novels a year and I have enough ideas to keep myself busy for 6-8 years. But Noooooooooo.....that couldn't last. Now here I am a year and half later and I'm still not done with the first one.
-
I'll third you guys. I got through three chapters in three days and then froze. I'm trying to keep thaw by working on multiple parts of the story and writing down everything that comes up, no matter where it fits in the story (even if it doesn fit at all).
Dunno how much they'll edit it down, but still its a start.
A great start.
-
I think I'm a nocturnal writer because that's the quietest part of the day.
-
I thought I was a writer but I'm an actor!
When I star in my first feature I'll stop posting here and you'll all see the first glimpse of a hot new actor that looks like vin diesel but is neither short nor gay.
-

I do the same thing. Like I know exactly what's going to happen in the last chapter of book 9, even though I only have a general idea on what's going to happen in the rest of the book. If I come up with something I just write it down and file it away. Sometimes I'll shoe horn it in someplace. Like I had a cool idea that I wrote down, but I ended up adding it to my first book to increase the action.
I think I'm a nocturnal writer because that's the quietest part of the day.
Again....I do the same thing. No one bugs you at night cause everyone is alseep, and you can just go for hours without a single nosie distracting you from what you are working on.
-
I actually write best on the road or...when I'm supposed to be doing other stuff. At work when I'm on the register and its particularly dead I usually can get a few pages done.
-

Yeah, I posted that because Merla and Schmoo were being all noisy at the time. It never fails that one of them will come knock on my door and be all "come see something" or whatever. Then by the time I return, my computer's on stand-by and a couple of hours have passed.
or...when I'm supposed to be doing other stuff.
I love taking notes for a class on one page and notes for my story in the other. When I wrote in highschool, I wrote loads of material in my notebook and then typed it out when I got home. It gets annoying now only because I was forced to hang onto old algebra and management notes from last Spring because they were intermingled with story. I kept things separate this past semester but unfortunately got far less done. I'll think I'm just gonna have to suffer through it.
I can't write on the road. I get carsick.
When I star in my first feature I'll stop posting here and you'll all see the first glimpse of a hot new actor that looks like vin diesel but is neither short nor gay.
But I don't watch porno.
-
not even a little peak now and again?
-
Is that a pun or just a misspell? In any case, yes I have peeked and it was all lesbo, so that still rules you out.
-
that was a blatant mispell U_U
but I can lift heavy things
-
Did you just call me fat, bitch? I should kick you in the peak.
-
actually I was just talking about this shirt I saw someone wearing at the gym (http://cgi.ebay.com/NOT-VERY-SMART-BUT-CAN-LIFT-HEAVY-THINGS-T-SHIRT-4XL_W0QQitemZ200067804551QQcmdZViewItem)
But I like this whole lifting you idea. I'll put you on my shoulders and we'll run barter town.
-
Psh. I could do that.
-
Who's taller here? I want the best view possible of the parade.
-
IDE - Level 60 Elite Mount
6'2'' tall, his trapezius muscles vibrate to massage away saddle soreness.
-

With me it's usually "Can you drive me someplace." or "Can you come fix/and or lift something heavy" or "Can you take item A to place B" Usually the trash. And it never fails that I get asked to do these things not while I'm channel surfing bitching that nothing is on, but when I'm working.
And I can write in the car, but 90% of the time I'm driving so that rules that out.

 Dude, awesome.

Attach post-its and a penholder to the horn.
-
wait, isnt Bitch supposed to be super tall?
If not , I might be the tallest girl here
-
As interesting as the thought of me riding on Bitch's shoulders is, I don't think it quite works out.
-
You'd have nice cushions for your calves, though. And I wouldn't be as tempted as IDE to grab your butt.
Faye, unless you're '6-1" or taller, you're still shorter than I am.
-
You'd have nice cushions for your calves, though.
That is true.
I wish I was tall.
Maybe I should go find one of those fortune-telling gypsy-in-a-box machines.
-
6'4" of solid hay bale lifting boony Sasquatch.
Also, Bitch, just to compliment you; I find women over 6' very attractive. It's because they can usually look me in the eye without looking up...
-
That's what you bring around some old phonebooks for.
I thought for the longest time I was 5'5". Then we were comparing heights and I was measured at 5'4". Then at a doctor's visit they recorded me as 5'3". Then Rama accused me of shrinking. So I just go by 5'3" now. And I'm the tallest in my immediate family. Not including my dad of course, because he's a whore. He's like 5'8" or something so he's fucking short, too.
-
You're taller then 5'3" You came up to about my chest and I'm 6' even. (5'-11" when I slouch..which is a lot.) I don't think you are that short, and if you are it doesn't look it.
I'm actually shorter then my dad was at 6'-2" course I'm also thinner since he was like 250-280 and I'm only 190.
-
Maybe you were slouching. Ha ha. The people who measure me at the doc's office insist I'm that short. What do you think I am?
-
I'd say between 5'-4" and 5'-5" and maybe I was slouching. That would explain it.
-
I hear Spider-man also makes people seem taller.
-
Aaa I'm 5'8 but with high heels/boots(that i ALWAYS wear... i dislike wearing sneakers) i go up to 6, 6'1.
-
I'd love to wear high heels but they hurt and it turns out I don't like pain.
-
After a while you get used to them. That's when pain leaves and love settles in
-
Replace love with agony, and you've got it right.
Anyone who loves heels doesn't walk about three miles a day.
-
I used to piss off the rodeo pricks in high school when I laughed at their high heeled cowboy boots. The fact that one turned out to be gay was a major point of humor at our class reunion.
-
Replace love with agony, and you've got it right.

Pardon me, but I walk all the way from my place to work, and viceversa.
Anyways, who would need to walk miles and miles per day? Maybe a highschool kid that lives in the asuburbs. But I live in Center City so I don't need to. God bless this cosmopolitan city
-
I hear Spider-man also makes people seem taller.
You know, I still have that shirt. It's seen better days, but I just can't bring myself to throw it away. But, I have an all new Spider-Man shirt now...so no worries there.
-
Anyways, who would need to walk miles and miles per day? Maybe a highschool kid that lives in the asuburbs. But I live in Center City so I don't need to. God bless this cosmopolitan city
Actually, I walk sixteen blocks to work and then get to stand all day, and get fifteen minutes to sit down every three hours if I can find the time. Heels are for people with sit down jobs, not people who get paid to lift things.
-
Faye, unless you're '6-1" or taller, you're still shorter than I am.
"That's a huge bitch"
-
The heels don't hurt my feet. They hurt my knees. I have two pairs of heeled shoes, both boots with thick, supportive heels, and the highest one is two inches. I prefer to wear the other ones, which are only about an inch or so high. I can't wear anything higher or thinner than that. I went shoe shopping the other day and founds loads of pretty heels but all I had to do was try them on for a minute and I was crickey all day.
-
The knees, really??? Wow I've never had that problem before. I have these boots that their heel is the "needle" kind of heel, those are PAINFUL, even for an expert heel-wearer like me. i can't use them all the time because they always make my feet hurt like HELL.
-

I thought they were for people who lay down... well I live and learn.
-
Why do you need high heels when you are laying down?
OOooooo haha tom here is a kinky one!
-
Mentioning high heel action and morrisey in just the span of a few days reminds me of someone else I know on INTERNET.
-
Go on...
-
Did you channel Xavier or something? Holyshit. My friend always says that in the wierdest, most awkward ways. And he has an uhealthy obsession with Mayonaise... x.x
-
Who the hell's Xavier?
-
My friend, he's Mexican/English.
-
No,no...leave the boots on.
-
 all guys are the same!
-
Because we like women wearing shoes when we bang them? It's just so they can go home quicker. :)
-
So Xavier says "go on" in a strange Mexican way or what?
-
andeleeee!
-
So Xavier says "go on" in a strange Mexican way or what?
No, just in a blank, void-way that actually discourages me from going on. I still love him, though.
-
Because you make him pick your fruit.
-
No, because he covers it in Mayonaise. Ewwww.
-
hmmm mayoo SO GOOD
-
I'm sure there is a joke about you putting white semi-liquid substances in your mouth....but I'm too lazy. Maybe Tom might go there.
-
I already have, and I think people who eat Mayo are disgusting.
-
aww tom JUST when i was starting to feel that i could someday do you, you go and throw all the chances away :(
(Nuri we need a smiley with tears here! more emotion, more emotiooon)
-
o.o
Thanks?
-
Wait what? I knew it! All that hate is just pent up sexual desire!
-
haha oh wow
-
Is was so obvious. They're David and Maddie.
-
I hope in evolves into paranoia and sense of duty so they can be Mulder and Scully.
-
Wait what? I knew it! All that hate is just pent up sexual desire!
Now it is. Rama you know me like i was your hand, and I'm not being sarcastic.
What can I say, that asshole treats me like shit, Faye likes it. Nono, more like Faye enjoys it.
-
Rama you know me like i was your hand, and I'm not being sarcastic.
So Rama wants to fuck you too eh?
Am I the only one here who wants to club her and make a coat from her hide?
-
maybe. You are, after all, weird .
I'm not saying anyone wants to do me! I'm just saying Rama is very "perceptive". He's like a little hairy Buddha.
-
o.o
At least it's not a guy who wants me now.
*rimshot*
-
What can I say, that asshole treats me like shit, Faye likes it. Nono, more like Faye enjoys it.
The use of third person here creeps me out.
-
I'm not saying anyone wants to do me! I'm just saying Rama is very "perceptive". He's like a little hairy Buddha.
She's not really my type.
And yeah, it's cause I'm always telling her she needs to look different places if she want to find a guy that'll treat her right, but do you think she takes my advice...NOOOOOOOOOOO. I guess she does like guys that treat her like shit. Only way I can explain it.
-
But wait, my bfs don't treat me like shit, AT ALL. they treat me like a princess! it gets boring after a while.
Haha I'm loving this!
Rama I miss having conversations with youuuuuuu! get on aim more often, damnit.
-
I'm not saying anyone wants to do me! I'm just saying Rama is very "perceptive". He's like a little hairy Buddha.
Hairy little Buddha, eh? You think of him as Baxter now?
"How 'bout we get you in your p.j.'s and we hit the hay."
Veiled sexual implications.
-
Haha I'm loving this!
Rama I miss having conversations with youuuuuuu! get on aim more often, damnit.
My time on the net is so hit and miss nowadays. Usually when I was on IM for long periods of time it was cause I was writing at the same time. Since I've had writer’s block I'm not in front of this box as long, and I spend the time I should be working playing Video games. I really do need to get back to work…but last time I tried to sit down and just make myself write it ended up in me ripping the pages up, and throwing my notebook across the room in disgust and then watching Scrubs. That was like a week and half ago.
-
daaamn Rama! how many pages you have now??
-
Rama is that you!? Post twice if you're in Milwaukee!
-
Yeah. I took a job at Shotz Brewery.
That might be to obscure a reference for this board.
-
Lavern and Shirley?
*checks*
yep!
-
maybe. You are, after all, weird .
Yeah but I'm attractive so I can be as weird as I want.
I can leave Unicron on the coffee table and they'll see it and quickly avert their eyes without so much as a questioning glance.
-
Toys are expected from a young, naive 23-year-old college newb, Squiggy.
-
*opens the door*
Hellllo!
