Now we'll have to deal with Christmas until May...

I was hoping to do some Valentine's Day decor but you know how that can go.  Maybe if I start now, I can have something up for the Fourth of July.

But Nuriii why can't I see the new skin??!?!?!
You should do a pirate themed-skin, to celebrate the release of the new POTC movie. (that of course I bought on the same day it came out)

edit: OMG i can see it!! its so pretty! except the jumping snowman....its kind of annoying! catching my attention! ADD is setting in

I haven't seen the new one and I wasn't impressed enough with the old one to do a theme of that.  It fell apart for me at the end.

I like the Snowman!  :P  I had small, tasteful blue Christmas tree but then I found that little guy.  I was playing "Trash" by Econoline Crush and he looked like he was just bouncing around to it.

Dead Man's Chest fell apart even more..but it had a Cliffhanger ending. And not a good one like ESB, a shitty one like Matrix: Reloaded.

It wasn't as good as the first one. And I liked the first one. I thought it was one of the best action adventure movies since the Indiana Jones films, but Dead Man's Chest wasn't as sound a flick. It felt like it was suppose to be a 2 hour flick and after they finished the 3rd draft of the script they got the call that they'd be doing 2 movies instead of one and so they stuffed as much filler in to make it longer. Maybe I'm just not blinded by all the man pretty in the film and have to judge it on it's actual merits as a movie.

I know I've said it before, but the first one was a four-star movie with a 1/2 star ending.  Bleh.

I bought the second on DVD almost entirely based on the pretty illusionny packaging.  That plus I thought the first was a decent movie.

Up until the last twenty minutes or so, I was completely geared up to buy the first one on DVD.

I wasn't taken with the second, but it was still enjoyable on its own, despite the non-ending.

This year features quite a number of interesting movies coming out around the same time.

screw you all! how dare you say potc 2 sucked? it was the best movie in the WORL,D IN THE WORLD IM TELLING YOU! (is it "in" or "on"???)
anyways, 2nd place is for rocky balboa
Title: Finally, the Dick Van Dykeo theme is gone...
Post by: IDE on Dec 17, 2006, 04:59:49 PM
potc 2 was allright.  Not as good as the first one and honestly when Barbosa walked out I was like "who gives a shit?" It wasn't like that was such a memorable performance that everyone would be like "OH SNAP! HE'S BACK!"   Maybe if Daniel-Day Louis had played the role it would've been different...maybe not, who knows.

Rocky 5 sucked so I don't have a lot of hope for this new one but I'm gonna go see it in theatres anyway.  I mean how many times can you watch rocky triumph against all odds and still think that's gonna be fresh and new.  You had young punk rocky dethroning the champ.  You had complacent rocky come back and take down Mr T.  You had him defeat a russian engineered super boxer.  And they capped it off with over the hill rocky taking down his own AIDS ridden protege.  This looks like it's gonna be over the hill rocky taking on the promising up and comer.  The only way they could surprise me is if they end it with him losing...which they won't.

Don't blame Rocky only because his son is the biggest pussy EVER!! not my Rocky, not him :(

I have this feeling that Rocky is going to die in this one. I CAN FEEL IT in my heart of hurts. My heart would just break :'(
Title: Finally, the Dick Van Dykeo theme is gone...
Post by: IDE on Dec 17, 2006, 08:04:28 PM
hmm you might be right.  That would fit in just perfect.  I wonder if he's got the balls to kill off rocky. He could have him beat the young blackman senseless and then die from a heart attack (or an aneurysm).  I love the chracter and all but that would make it more interesting.

I'm not saying it sucked. I'm just saying it fell short of the first one.

And it's "In".

I'm also betting Rocky loses in this one. He didn't win in the first one. One of the most common misconceptions is that Rocky beat Apollo Creed in Rocky 1.

With reference to Barbossa...Geoffrey Rush is a hell of an actor.  He was in Shakespeare in Love and Elizabeth (two good movies, BTW).  In the first, he's the boob who owns the theater and is a general goofball.  In the second, he's the most badass motherfucker you'll ever see in tights and a ruff.
Title: Finally, the Dick Van Dykeo theme is gone...

Did he play her ruthless advisor in Elizabeth?  I've seen that movie like four times but I don't remember him.

What needs to happen is Zombie Apollo comes back and Rocky has to take him and his zombie army out with a shotgun and a tennis racket.

Yeah, he played Walsingham.  He straight up killed the French queen bitch himself and had all Elizabeth's enemies massacred.

Depends on which one you're referring to.  Goku + Vegeta with the Kaioshin's earrings = Vegetto.  Goku + Vegita via Fusion Dance (used to form Gotenks) = Gogeta.

Why the hell I remember that bullshit from five years ago, I'll never know.

Yes.  In the manga and the regular series, they used earrings.  I think they only used the dumb ol' dance in one of the movies.  Maybe more than one, but I stopped watching the movies at #3.

No, just earrings for Vegetto.  I even went and physically looked at my copy of Dragon Ball tankouban #42 and they just slapped the earrings on.  And like that Wikipedia article says, it's permanent while the effects of the dance wear off.

I remember specifically seeing a manga where Goku and Vegeta danced, merged, and proceeded to pounding on ChiChi's and Bulma's asses repeatedly.  That was the first time I ever saw Gogeta in any shape, form, or fashion.

See I like controlling men cause they can never control me. The only man who could do that is my dad, and that's because, of course, he's my dad. I remember one day I went to this psychic who told me that I would need a man whose will was stronger than mine haha! cause im uncontrollable yesss im like James Dean

IRL=in real life

LMD=little man's disease?  It's either something about being short or having a small penis am I right?

I like controlling chicks that think they can't be controlled.  I do it via the Eddy Murphy "OOOoooOOOOOOOoooo" principle.

I don't like submissive women. I end up having to make all their choices for them cause they won't do it themselves. I'd try to get them too...but nope, they almost refuse and are always "Well whatever you want to do." and if I actually want to get something done I have to make the choice cause they'll never do it. It's aggravating. I like a woman that'll fight me, not give in right away. That's no fun.
