Post by: Sam on Oct 30, 2006, 12:13:42 PM: I suppose I'm lucky, I've only had one grandparent die so far and that was my maternal grandmother who died of brain cancer when I was 5 or so.

Her husband, my grandfather, isn't looking to great, though. The last time I saw him it suddenly occured to me that he was old and frail and it hit me like a ton of bricks knowing that in the near future he won't be here anymore.

In summery: I can only imagine what you're going through and offer my sympathies.

Post by: B E C K on Oct 30, 2006, 11:07:13 PM: Yeah, I can't imagine what you're going through either, IDE. Or E or anyone who's lost a grandparent. Despite two of them dying in the last ten years, I don't have a close relationship to any of my grandparents. I'm more affected by how my mom felt about losing her dad (or in my dad's case of losing his mom, offended).
