If these spoilers are to be believed, I counter with a big WTF.  It sounds like he pulled it out of his ass, and I enjoyed "The Village" and "Signs".  I still kinda wanna see it, but I'm thinking 1.99 PPV.

So TV wasn't good enough for Pinky and he's trying movies....those Hollywood types are all alike.  <_<

My friend is one of the extras in the pool party scene. I wonder in which part of Pennsylvania they did it....for what my friend told me it seemed to be really close, so prolly Philly.

I just watched it, and it wasn't bad, but if you read that whole thing then there's really no reason for you to ever bother with it.

Of course there is.  I've read spoilers on tons of other movies and if its something worth seeing, I've still enjoyed the experience.  I read spoilers ages ago on Saw and when we borrowed the DVD, I still liked it.  (On the flipside, it also helps me avoid gorey mutant rapey crap like The Hills Have Eyes while still sating my curiousity.)

From the read alone, Lady looks like it reaches at a lot of places and is making itself up as it goes in a bad way.  I suspended all of my belief for the aliens being immune to water, I don't think I'm quite aboard for this weird mermaid from the pool with all of these wonky rules and all of the people she needs living in one apartment complex.  No doubt M. Night does some good drama since that's something I've enjoyed in all of his movies so far, but I don't think it's something I'm gonna be spending my movie money on like all of his other films.  I couldn't get my ass to the theater fast enough to see the Village.  I'm just not feeling this one.

Local critic Larry Ratliff gave it two jalepenos (yes, how lovably ethnic, I know) and said the movie "lost" him (and I paraphrase) by having M. Night put himself in the movie.  That is one thing about the movie I find myself doubting very much.  Get a grip, Larry, surely that can't be right.

Yeah.....Hitchcock called; he wants his gimmick back.


I was a little let down by the Village.... more cause I figured it out a half-hour in. In fact I think I said out loud "Oh they are Uber-Amish!" Lucky for me I was one of four people in the theater and didn't get my ass kicked.... But if I had I would have deserved it for that.
