Title: pop ups problem
Post by: Faye Valentine on Jun 09, 2006, 09:39:55 PM
Does anyone know about any online webpage that you can go to where you can get rid of your pop-ups? (ok the grammar sucks but im too tired to think about it)
I remember I got to this webpage where it would just run a pop-up cleaner without me having to download anything

My advice.

Stop looking at the tranny pr0n sites that cause you those pop ups.

Adaware and 'spybot search and destroy'. Even though I supposedly have an anti-malware suite, these 2 still find malicious lil things hiding.

I have both Adware and Spydot, as well as Win patrol.

I got Adware off download.com, but someone gave me Spydot. And Win patrol is good cause it stops things from downloading to your computer without your permission, so you don't have to use those other two programs as much. I got win patrol off the same site as Adware.

I use the Google toolbar, though I use Firefox and it more or less blocks some on its own, doesn't it?  And I avoid pube-crabs like about.com.

About.com is a giant pop-up monster.  And it slows down my computer.  Besides all of their information is nothing but links to other useless pages on their website, and they stick that damn frame up on the top of the page.  I actually tried to load it to take a quick screenshot for tom and it was taking forever.  Fuck it.  Go elsewhere.  You'll be better off.

It just occured to me, I never answered the ques.  It's supposed to be a big directory of information and links to said stuff.  And you shouldn't care since it's a giant, steaming pile.
