Man that's messed up. But it's just a freak accident though, nothing to blame yourself too much for. If it's still breathing I suggest calling the vet and tell him what happened.
At the very least you could pour some strong liquor on a saucer to try and numb its pain a bit.

The vet we used to have is closed, and all they'd do is tell us to bring it in and kill it for us.  I just heard a mew from it, maybe its mom is moving it or something.

I did. We have no alcohol, and I doubt aspirin will do it any good. Her breathing is a little more regular now, however, and there's no swelling so far. Moving it anywhere would be stupid, and right now she's unconscious and there really isn't much I can do.

There's an emergency vet clinic about a half mile away, but out phone isn't working and moving the kitten right now would be a really bad idea. Hell, touching it would be bad at this point.

*hugs toe* I can't have any more pets right now, though. My dad got frustrated for some stupid reason, and said so. Just because my cat got into my sister's mouse cage. The mouse survived, I don't know why he was so mean about it. . .

That sucks. It was an accident though, so ...I can't say don't feel badly because you're a good person, so you will feel badly....But...I hope you'll get over it as quickly as you can, because these things happen chica.

That's so sad.  I'm so sorry about the kitty.  Please don't beat yourself up about it too terribly:  yes it was your fault, and I understand that guilt but it was also a horrible accident.  You didn't do it on purpose or with malicious intent.  And babies are so tiny and fragile, all sorts of awful things can happen to them.  It''s a very delicate stage of life.

Thanks. Reading your posts and talking to my mom made me feel lots better. What made me feal really good was that my brother, after reading the entry, wanted to rush over here but had to finish his homework.

The really bad thing is, when I went out to bury it, our big shovel was missing so I had to grab one of the cheap little spades and dig a 2-foot-deep hole in hard dirt with the shoebox with the kitten beside me. Then I noticed a dog sniffing around in the alley and got paranoid and put bricks over the dirt mound just in case.

Chelsey was my dog that died 6 years ago, Chelsey, I didn't name the kitten after you. I didn't name the dead kittens anything.
